Undergraduate and Postgraduate tuition fees

Undergraduate Tuition Fees

Tuition fees is an area than often causes people a great deal of concern, particularly around how they will be able to afford to study a degree and pay for tuition fees on their chosen programme. It is important to remember that the majority of UK or EU students beginning a degree course with us will not have to pay tuition fees up front. The full cost of our tuition fees can be covered by a tuition fee loan, which you will not repay until after you leave your course and are earning over 拢25,000.

Eligibility for tuition fee loans can depend on a number of factors such as where you have been living during the past 3-5 years and applicants should seek advice fromif they are unsure as to whether or not they will be eligible for a tuition fee loan.

Tuition fees are 拢9,250听per year at both campuses for Home students. International fees are 拢14,950 per year. For further information on our tuition fees, emailfees@ucfb.comor call our Student Recruitment & Admissions Office on 03330605114.

Cost of living

It is important to keep in mind that studying in higher education can be expensive, particularly when you are living away from home and paying for your own rent and food. Many students are eligible to receive a maintenance loan from Student Finance England, can help you to get a better idea of how much money you could expect to receive in your first year of study.

In addition to student finance, UCFB also offers听bursaries to undergraduate students who meet our eligibility criteria to help with the cost of accommodation, costs of study or travel. These awards can be extended into your second and third year of study and many students find that this helps considerably with their cost of living.

Additional costs may be incurred during the time of study. Please visit each individual programme page for an example of what these costs might be.

Our Student Services also offer assistance to current students through hardship loans and budgeting support to help you when you need a little extra assistance from us.

Additional information

Tuition fee status

In common with universities throughout the UK, the level of tuition fee for which a UCFB student is charged is based on their 鈥渇ee status鈥.

Students are classified as either having a 鈥淗ome鈥 or an 鈥淚nternational鈥 fee status and the tuition fee you will be charged will depend on:

  • Your Nationality
  • Your immigration Status in the UK
  • Where you have been resident for the three years prior to the start of your chosen programme and what you have been doing during that time

The Admissions Team at UCFB will make an assessment of your status in line with UK regulations and guidance issued by the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA).

If we require further information from you to determine your fee status, we will send you a UEL Fee Assessment Form for you to complete and return to us. We may ask for supporting evidence:

1. The right of permanent residence in the UK/EU.
Examples of documents you will need to provide include a copy of the relevant pages of your passport (pages confirming name and nationality) and any other supporting documentation that shows your right to remain in the UK.
2. Residence in the UK for the three years immediately prior to the start of the course and not for the purpose of full-time education.
Examples of documents you will need to provide include three years of utility bills and payslips (for a single month from each of the three years preceding the start of your course).
Please be aware that applicants who hold Pre-Settled or Settled status will qualify for home fees but you will be required to submit evidence of your status.

Please note that if you are assessed as an International student for fee purposes, you will need to evidence a valid visa to study in the UK.
